Brecon Beacons Holiday Cottages



Lovely barn and stable set in five acres of land above the village of Maes y Gwartha in a delightful rural location with magnificent views over the Blorenge and Sugar Loaf Mountains and the ponies and sheep in the field. There are many superb walks straight from the door and the owner has produced a booklet of excellent walks of varying degrees of difficulty for visitors' information.

Eco -The owners have converted the barn paying great attention to the fabric of the building using sustainable materials and lessening the carbon foot print; there is mains water for domestic use but they have a "rainwater harvesting system" for flushing loos etc. Solar panels help to heat the water. The Barn has been awarded a Gold, Green Business Tourism Award. The nearest village is Gilwern 1 mile, which has shops and pubs. Abergavenny 5 miles, Crickhowell 4 miles.
