About

Castle Meadows is  20 hectares of beautiful riverside meadow, next to the River Usk, with bordering trees, small copses, streams and ponds. It is only a short walk from Abergavenny Town Centre. Beautiful views of the River Usk, the Blorenge and of Abergavenny Castle and town.

The meadows are managed traditionally, being left to grow through spring and early summer, before a hay crop is taken. Through the second half of the year cattle graze the meadows. Adjacent to the meadows are Linda Vista Gardens and Abergavenny Museum and Castle.

Fishing tickets are available for Abergavenny Town Waters - https://www.fishingpassport.co.uk/fishing/usk/abergavenny-fishing.

Events organised by the Friends of Castle Meadows (https://friendsofcastlemeadows.wordpress.com/ )

Dogs are allowed but should be kept under close control especially when cattle are on the meadows. Please do not leave litter and be a responsible dog owner following the Dog Walking Code.
