Join the people of Monmouth for a wonderful illuminating Christmas Lantern Parade through the streets their town.

New for 2026, the event will be moving to a Sunday (!3th December) and starting a little earlier (4.30pm) to make the event a bit more family-friendly for all.

Starting at Monnow Bridge Gatehouse from 4.30pm, the parade will be led by Father Christmas and culminate at the Shire Hall.

The parade is an annual celebration of light. So fill the sky with glowing butterflies, buzzing beetles, shimmering wings, and twinkling flowers.

Workshops will be held in Monmouth througout November where you can create your own lantern and get involved.
