Details

Ty Hwnt is a secluded and beautiful stone farmhouse once featured in 'Country Living Escapes'. The house is set in four acres of glorious remote countryside high on the hill side along The Llantony Valley in The Black Mountains and close to Offa's Dyke Path.

This is a perfect location for anyone wanting seclusion, with no sounds other than the bleating of sheep and bird song. Ty Hwnt is a haven for artists, ornothologists, writers and those just wanting complete relaxation well off the beaten track. The closest neighbours are about half a mile away and offer pony trekking, free range eggs and goats milk. There are wonderful walks straight from the door and fantastic mountain biking on the door step (why not bring your own bike or hire one to be delivered to the door). There are two pubs in the valley The Halfmoon Hotel and The Llantony Abbey Hotel. Abergavenny is 12 miles down the valley which is approximately 20 minutes drive or drive the scenic route to Hay on Wye taking the highest road in Wales (single lane, not for the faint hearted with stunning views).
