BBC Countryfile on the Gwent Levels

The BBC Countryfile Team visited the Gwent Levels (in Southern Monmouthshire/Newport/Cardiff) and met some of the great people preserving the landscape, its heritage and the animals that live here. They explore the history of the reen system developed by the Romans 2000 years ago (02:00 - 09:00), chat to the Black Rock Lave Net Fishermen (09:30 - 15:50), discover ancient footprints from 8000 years ago (16:10 - 18:50), look for water voles at Magor Marsh (42:33 - 48:50) and the creation of three monuments along the Gwent Levels (52:39 - 57:15).
