A record SEVEN sites achieve Green Flag status for 2026 / 2027 in Monmouthshire : Llandegfedd Lake, Rogiet Countryside Park, Caldicot Castle and Country Park, Linda Vista Gardens and Castle Meadows in Abergavenny, the Old Station Tintern and the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal.

Congratulations to The Angel Hotel in Abergavenny, ranked the Best Foodie Hotel in the UK by The Times.

The Walnut Tree near Abergavenny and The Whitebrook in the Wye Valley both retained their Michelin Stars for 2025.

The Whitebrook ranked as one of the top 100 restaurants in the UK for the 5th year in a row.

There was fantastic success for Monmouthshire's producers at the 2024 Great Taste Awards last week, with five businesses achieving a total of 11 stars, including the highest award of three stars for Black Welsh Lamb's organic, pasture-fed mutton shoulder.

Five Monmouthshire sites achieve Green Flag awards, plus another thirteen sites receive Green Flag Community Awards.
