Monmouthshire is remarkably easy to get to, however you decide to travel.
We’re only around two hours down the M4 from London whilst Birmingham and the West Midlands are only an hour away.
Monmouthshire enjoys exceptional road links via the M4 (from London and South East England) and the M50/M5 (from the Midlands and North) ensuring that much of Britain, including gateway airports and ferry terminals, are within a 3-hour drive. From London and the South of England use the M4 and the Prince of Wales second Severn crossing or for Chepstow, Tintern and the Wye Valley branch off just past Bristol onto the M48 and cross the original Severn Bridge.
There are no longer any tolls to be paid on either Severn Bridge (they were scrapped in December 2018).

There are 4 train stations in the county: Abergavenny, Caldicot, Chepstow and Severn Tunnel Junction with main line services from London, Bristol, Birmingham and Crewe.

The Explore Wales Pass and South Wales Pass allows 4 days rail and 8 days bus travel within an 8 day period and offers reduced entry within the given area to numerous visitor attractions as well as accommodation discounts.
