Monmouthshire Wellbeing Walks

Sunday 15th August is National Relaxation Day, and so to help you relax and improve wellbeing, MonLife have created three Wellbeing Walks at their sites in Abergavenny, Caldicot and Tintern.

These walks will encourage you to take time out during your walk and relax. To feel the trees, listen to the sounds of nature or notice the shapes and sights around you.

Abergavenny Castle and Museum

Abergavenny Museum, founded in 1959, is set in the grounds of a 'ruined' Norman Castle. The Museum building was formerly a hunting lodge built by the Marquess of Abergavenny. The displays tell the story of this historic market town.

Caldicot Castle and Country Park

Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Castle’s exciting past. Caldicot Castle’s impressive structure is surrounded by an idyllic 55 acre Country Park. The castle grounds are now open every day 11am - 4pm.

Chepstow Museum

Chepstow Museum reveals the rich and varied past of this ancient town, once an important port and market centre.

Old Station Tintern

Built as a Victorian country railway station, the Old Station, Tintern is a charming site to visit for a quiet relaxing day out or to start your walk in the beautiful Wye Valley.

Chepstow Tourist Information Centre

Chepstow TIC provides information on attractions, activities and events in the area as well as offering advice and help on booking accommodation. Open 10 - 3 every day.

Shire Hall, Monmouth

Shire Hall is a former Court of Assizes and Quarter Sessions in the centre of Monmouth, South Wales. It is a Grade I listed, classically designed building in Agincourt Square at the top of Monnow Street
