'Songs of Summer' concert to be performed by The Royal Forest of Dean Orchestra, featuring Chepstow Chatelaines choir, Saturday 11 July 2026.

The concert starts at 7.30pm.

First half
• Karl Jenkins - Palladio.
• Albinoni - Oboe Concerto - with oboe soloist Oscar Watts
• Pergolesi - Stabat Mater and Amen from Stabat Mater.
• Faure - In Paradisium from Requiem.
• Puccini - Suor Angelica
• Elgar - songs for female chorus and small string group.

Second half
• William Mathias - Serenade for Orchestra
• Michael English - 'A Summer's Day' suite for orchestra. Premiere performance.
• Bizet - Chorus of Cigarette Girls
• Wagner - Spinning Chorus from The Flying Dutchman
• Tchaikovsky - chorus of Peasant Girls from Eugene Onegin
• Gilbert & Sullivan - Chorus from the Mikado
• Verdi - Witches Chorus from MacBeth
