Scenery, Prop, Puppet, Mask and costume making! The SCENIC ARTS!
Ages 12-18, The Melville Centre, Abergavenny. Sundays 2-5pm, 10 weeks starting Sun Jan 18th.
£5 per session, bursaries available for low incomes. Please ask.
This class is focussed on learning how to build and make fantastic things for Theatre, Film and TV. We'll teach you how to use junk and recyclable materials as a base; willow framework to make creatures; papier mache and EVA foam for puppets, masks and cosplay.
We'll also look at basic carpentry, scenery building techniques, useful tools and materials that you can use to build up your skills. We'll help kickstart you on a career in scenic production, design and construction for the performing arts.
Led by professional prop, scenery and puppet makers, Stuart H/ Bawler and Rhianna Yates of Hummadruz, the Black-Light Theatre of Wales.
