Swan Meadow Standing stones

Book Tickets Online

About

A difficult walk with a sustained ascent and steep descent. It runs within the town but through the attractive Swan Meadows. Points of interest include the standing stones in Swan Meadow which were erected in 2009 as part of a local history society project to highlight Abergavenny’s importance in the Eistoddfod tradition in Wales. There’s a good example of a recently ‘laid’ hedge in the upper Gavenny meadow. The woodland path on the east bank opposite Swan Meadow is a good place to see and hear woodland birds throughout the year.
