The Wye Valley River Festival is back!
Along with the spring, to bring Magic, Merriment and a little Mayhem to Monmouth on Saturday 2nd of May.
Gather with us at St Marys Priory Church churchyard (11am) for our vibrant much-loved procession, winding down Monmouth High Street from 11:30, bringing colour, imagination and Spring spirit through the town. Expect spectacle, music and surprises as artists, locals and community groups come together.
The parade ends at Drybridge Park (opposite Bridges Community Centre) for a full day of entertainment (12-5pm); shows, workshops, song, music, exhibitions, delicious food and hopefully some sunshine too.
Everyone is welcome!
We are working to make the festival accessible and open to all.
Because the Festival is based in the outdoors and nature, we are working with our partners to find physical and other access solutions to using some of these sites. Most of our main events are on wheelchair accessible sites. Please see festival website for more details of access provision, including our Sign Language Interpreted shows. By BusBus services include the 60 from Newport and 69 from Chepstow.To reach Drybridge Park in Monmouth take a bus to Monmouth Bus Station (Monnow Keep, Monmouth NP25 3EW). From the bus station, the park is a short 10-15 minute walk (roughly 0.5 miles) via town center paths.
By TrainThe closest station to Monmouth is Chepstow Station or Abergavenny Station which you can then take a bus from.
By CarThere is car parking available in Monmouth a short walk from the site.
As a festival with the environment at its heart, cycling and walking is very much encouraged where possible!
