Join pioneering storyteller Sally Pomme Clayton for The Mighty Goddess — an electrifying, soulful journey through ancient myths, powerful women and extraordinary stories from around the world.

Meet Vesta, the fiery virgin warrior; Cybele, the mother goddess who fathered a child; and Ishtar, goddess of love and war, who journeys into the Land of the Dead. Follow the goddess from Creator to Virgin, Lover, Mother, Warrior and Crone, through stories of desire and love, death and destruction, transformation and rebirth.

Sally Pomme Clayton brings these ancient tales vividly to life, entwining myth with memory, spells with songs, comedy with ceremony. Dynamic spoken word, gesture, ritual and unusual musical sounds create a performance that is powerful, playful, provocative and utterly mesmerising.

The stories are drawn from Sally Pomme Clayton's acclaimed book The Mighty Goddess: World Myths, which reimagines goddess myths from across the globe and places these extraordinary female figures firmly at the heart of their stories.
