Join Chepstow Walkers are Welcome (in association with Monmouthshire Countryside) on a 5.5 mile walk in the Wye Valley south-west of Monmouth.
Expect spectacular views, beautiful scenery and an energetic autumnal walk.
his walk starts at Mitchel Troy village and ascends via a steep footpath to Craig y Dorth Hill to enjoy some of the most magnificent views over the Black Mountains and north Monmouthshire. The route continues down into the next valley before ascending to Cwmcarvan church. The return route climbs back over the other side of Craig y Dorth Hill, through fields and lanes with more fantastic views.
This walk is not suitable for dogs.
5.5 miles energetic to strenuous with two steep climbs and several stiles. Allow 4 hours. Bring picnic, drinks and a camera.
There is a charge of £3 per single ticket (under 16s free) and booking is essential. All proceeds are donated to the Severn Area Rescue Association.
