To mark the centenary of Leonard Bernstein's birth the choir will sing his Chichester Psalms, a vibrant setting of ancient Hebrew hymns of praise, prayer and petition, re-imagined in glorious 20th-century technicolor. In addition there will be music from Bernstein's West Side Story arranged for two pianos. The choir will also perform Benjamin Britten's miraculous story of Saint Nicholas, whose life and death are portrayed with an energy and directness that are the hallmarks of one of England's greatest composers.
