The Royal George is an award winning hotel in the picturesque village of Tintern. This Wye Valley hotel was awarded the 2026 'Best Place to Stay in Wales' in The Times, offering a haven away from home with fantastic dining and beautiful rooms.

Serving as a hotel since 1829, the Royal George Fully was fully renovated over two years, and reopened in 2025. You can sleep in 20 thoughtfully appointed room, including the Garden Rooms (offering views of the scenic grounds) or the Welsh Heritage Rooms, which showcase vistas of Tintern and the surrounding Wye Valley.

There’s also four distinctive dining venues, with local cuisine in the Upper Deck Restaurant, hearty pub favourites in the Lower Deck Pub, freshly baked pizza in The Garden Pizzeria, or all-day refreshments at The Café.
