Or walk in the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons? Then read on, Middle Ninfa Farm Bunkhouse/Cottage in the Brecon Beacons National Park offers comfortable year-round accommodation in a converted 300 year old barn on the 23 acre mountain farm. Downstairs is the sitting and dining area with table and chairs, double sofabed, kitchen area with gas cooker, fridge and microwave, and shower room with toilet and handbasin. The 23 acre farm is located about half way up the 1860 feet high Blorenge mountain, facing East over the Usk Valley and Skirrid mountain. The farm is managed in an environmentally friendly way with abundant wildflowers, willow coppice, orchards and young woodland. The beech trees, pollarded in the remote past, which bound the farm on its top side, merge with woodland around the Punchbowl, owned by The Woodland Trust. Here is the long distance bridlepath which almost circles the Blorenge and the lake which attracts fishermen. The views are outstanding, also the wildlife.
