About

Join a challenging but fun ride through the Monmouthshire countryside, starting in the Roman town of Caerwent (with free parking), out to the beautiful Wye Valley village of Tintern.

Lunch will be at the Old Station Tintern, and the return will be via the Wye Valley Greenway, through Chepstow and back to Caerwent.

This will be a 28 mile, five hour ride.

The route is a mix of quiet country lanes, traffic free paths and some A and B roads to contend with. Please be confident that you are happy to ride them before signing up. Also, part of the route is on the Wye Valley Greenway which is a little rough in places so a gravel or hybrid is recommended. We also go through the Tidenham tunnel which is almost 1km long and dimly lit so also bear that in mind.
