About

Rogiet Poorland is a nature reserve on the edge of the Gwent Levels, featuring woodlands and scrub, plus a small remnant of limestone grassland.

The woodland has aspen, ash and alder, with red campion and sweet violet flourishing in the margins. Wildflowers carpet the grassland, with adders living and breeding on the reserve. Lucky visitors may even see some Roe Deer.
