ARW Trail

About

Usk Civic Society presents in conjunction with CADW’s Open Doors a Guided Walk of Alfred Russel Wallace's Usk.

On this guided tour with local historians David and Stella Collard we'll take in the house where Alfred Russel Wallace was born, the church where his sisters are buried, the areas he played as a child including Usk Castle, his Bust in Twyn Square and the Alfred Russel Wallace Arboretum.

Part of the walk goes along a country path and walkers are advised to wear suitable clothing and footwear.

On the same day there will also be an ARW exhibition in the Sessions House.

Visitors are also welcome to visit the Victorian Sessions House which is also open for CADW’s Open scheme.
