Monmouthshire & Wales is now back in lockdown, so all of our non essential businesses have closed. We will update this message when we have more information on when we will be able to reopen. Please also check the latest Welsh Government guidance here https://gov.wales/coronavirus-regulations-guidance.
Look out for businesses with the ‘We’re Good to Go’ industry kite mark for assurance that the business is following government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid physical distancing.

The Heritage Lottery Fund WHAM! project at the Croft Barn at White Castle Vineyard, Llanvetherine is welcoming visitors at a series of open afternoons, craft courses and events which start at the end of April 2016
The Wine and Heritage Alive in Monmouthshire (WHAM) project run by buildings preservation charity The Village Alive Trust and the vineyard owners, Robb and Nicola Merchant, enables the public to enjoy free visits to a 16th century cruck trussed threshing barn, which boasts rare wattle panels.
Free admission open afternoons will be held between 2 and 4pm every Friday from April 29th to September 30th. A member of the trust will be on hand to give an insight into the barn’s history and conservation, as well as offering light refreshments. There is parking and toilet facilities at the barn which is close to White Castle, one of the three castles on the Three Castles Walk. Group visits including school trips, would need to be booked but are welcomed.
The Croft Barn also has a programme of craft events this year, including paid courses with Welsh Stick Chair maker Isis Rowan on May 14 and 15th or September 24 and 25th which need to be booked. Children’s activities include felt making and maypole dancing. Further details of courses and the barn’s restoration can be found at www.wineandheritage.org.uk or by emailing info@wineandheritage.org.uk
