About

Barn Weddings & Events in the Monmouthshire countryside

Host your party or celebration in the beautiful private Monmouthshire venue, with converted barns and outdoor space.

Llantilio House is a listed 18th century farm.  Having your wedding at Llantilio House means exclusive use of the whole venue and valley, including the gardens, the pool and spa and the main accommodation in the Farmhouse, Bull House, Brew House and Granary.

They also welcome team building and corporate getaways and have a plethora of activities in the area including hiking, canoeing and clay pigeon shooting.

George & Lottie bought Llantilio House in March 2018 having recently moved back to Monmouthshire. Their aim was to rejuvenate the property in the most sustainable and sympathetic way using a combination of environmentally friendly, traditional building techniques and clean technology. The result is an understated, unique, informal, luxurious, relaxed, decadent and fun venue for weddings and celebrations.

Sustainability

From the outset Llantilio House has aspired to be a carbon negative wedding venue by combining tradition with next generation technology. Rather than oil or gas, the venue is heated by heat pumps and 4.5km of ground source pipes. Hot water is created locally using heat from the buildings and mini ground-source heaters. And the pool/spa is filtered using the same science behind natural swimming ponds which negates the need for chlorine.

They offset electrical carbon emissions through our partnership with the ‘Great Reserve’ sequioa plantation, Abergavenny and other de-carbonising endeavours such as restoring the Trothy valley back to wildflower floodplain meadow to improve topsoil sequestration and bio-diversity.
