Monmouthshire & Wales is now back in lockdown, so all of our non essential businesses have closed. We will update this message when we have more information on when we will be able to reopen. Please also check the latest Welsh Government guidance here https://gov.wales/coronavirus-regulations-guidance.
Look out for businesses with the ‘We’re Good to Go’ industry kite mark for assurance that the business is following government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid physical distancing.

Roam across the 55 acres that make up Caldicot Country Park. There are large areas of woodland, a reach of the River Nedern, and pleasant open parkland to enjoy. The children’s activities centring around the woods and ponds are great for kids with an interest in the outdoors. There are waymarked walks for those who would rather take their time and relax.
Caldicot Castle offers one of the most complete snapshots of South Wales history of any attraction in the area, or it can simply be a wonderful spot for a picnic on a sunny afternoon. However you choose to enjoy it, there is a great deal to see and do here.
The River Nedern winds its way through areas of woodland and pasture. The country park offers an ideal setting for picnics and walks against the background of the castle walls, with picnic tables and barbecues. The park contains a children's play area, orienteering course, toilets and free parking. A caravan rally site is available. There are information boards describing two circular Footsteps to Fitness walks around the castle and country park.
