About
Enjoy a unique and immersive five-part theatrical experience at Monmouth's Shire Hall Museum.
'The People's Fire: A Chartist Tale' takes you inside the very walls where history was made during the Chartist Trial of 1839. From the cells to the court room discover first-hand how the trial unfolded, and re-live the experiences of those who took part.
This play features five original songs and a powerful ensemble cast, bringing the passion and fire of the Charitst movement to life in the place it all happened.
All profits will be donated to local charities in Monmouth, supporting our community while we honour its remarkable past.
Experience history. Feel the fire. Be part of The People’s Fire.
