Castle Meadows

Monmouthshire & Wales is now back in lockdown, so all of our non essential businesses have closed. We will update this message when we have more information on when we will be able to reopen. Please also check the latest Welsh Government guidance here

Look out for businesses with the ‘We’re Good to Go’ industry kite mark for assurance that the business is following government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid physical distancing.

Castle Meadows,
Castle Street,

In the centre of Abergavenny, easily accessible from the town centre. Some 20 hectares of riverside meadow, next to the River Usk, with bordering trees, small copses, streams and ponds. Beautiful views of the River Usk, the Blorenge and of Abergavenny Castle and town.

The meadows are managed traditionally, being left to grow through spring and early summer, before a hay crop is taken. Through the second half of the year cattle graze the meadows. Adjacent to the meadows are Linda Vista Gardens and Abergavenny Museum and Castle.
