Wye Valley Meadery

There were plenty of 'cheers' throughout Monmouthshire this week as the Gold Stars from the 2022 Great Taste Awards were handed out. Eight of our businesses won awards for 17 different products, including 3 stars (the top award) for Wye Valley Meadery's "Hive Mind - Smoked Honey Porter" and for Parva Spices "Sambal Hijau".

The Great Taste Awards are a prestigious annual food award, where products are judged by a panel of over 500 experts made up of chefs, buyers, food writers and retailers, so winning even one star is a fantastic achievement.

Black Welsh Lamb comes from our closed flock of pedigree Black Welsh Mountain sheep developed over a fifteen year period. All our sheep are Soil Association organic accredited and Pasture Fed Livestock Association registered, as the lambs are fed only grass and hay from the farm.
