The Abergavenny Food Festival 2019 Programme launched

The programme for this year's Abergavenny Food Festival has just been released, and it's looking fantastic as always. Running over the weekend of the 21st - 22nd September, the Food Festival is an annual highlight of the UK foodie calendar.

The programme is packed full of talks, chef & farm demonstrations, dining experiences, food & drink tastings, meet & greets, children's events, art workshops, foraging, masterclasses and much more. We've pulled out some of the highlights from Monmouthshire based foodie businesses below.

Chef Demo with Chris Harrod of The Whitebrook

Join our Michelin starred (and Great British Menu starring) chef Chris Harrod for a great free chef demo in the market hall. Chris prides himself on his ultra-local approach to cooking, often foraging for his food in the local area of The Whitebrook in the Wye Valley. It promises to be a mouth-watering demo!

The Abergavenny Baker in the Courtyard

Join Rachael Watson, The Abergavenny Baker, all weekend at No. 1 The Courtyard (where her school will be moving in 2020) for talks and tasters. Winner of the 2018 Food Award Wales Best Cookery School in Wales, Rachael is a joy to chat to and learn from.

Pairing Charcuterie & Vermouth with James Swift

The award winning Trealy Farm Charcuterie is a foodie gem in the heart of Monmouthshire. At this event, join Trealy Farm's James Swift & drinks maker Jack Adair Bevan as they prove that it's not just wine & cheese that go together.

Everything but the Oink with The Decent Company

Pigs don't just provide chops & bacon. Come on a culinary journey from nose-to-tail as local pig farm Martha Roberts & broadcaster Tim Hayward explore the lesser known cuts. There'll be top tips, useful information and (of course) lots of tastings!
