About

St Tewdrics House is a 19th Century Italianate villa set within 10 acres of beautiful Monmouthshire countryside, with stunning views over the Severn Estuary.

Approached by a tree-lined driveway, and with a stunning seasonal flower meadow, it’s hard not to fall in love with this stunning location, which was named the Best Wedding Venue in Wales in 2025. The team at St Tewdrics work hard to deliver the very best experiences, delivering an unforgettable day that people will talk about for years to come.

The luxury venue in Chepstow is licensed for civil ceremonies and can be hired exclusively for the big day, with couples having the option of extending their stay for two or three nights at The House and The Lodge so that they can relax and make the most of this very special time in their lives.

The Courtyard offers the perfect setting for ceremonies, wedding breakfasts and evening parties.  This stunning room has capacity for 150 guests and has been beautifully decorated to complement the period features at the house, with wooden beams, stone walls, crystal chandeliers and a large glass skylight that provides a bright, contemporary feel, while bi-fold doors offer panoramic views over the beautiful gardens and fields. St Tewdrics works with a range of specially-selected caterers that can all be relied on for delicious and memorable food and enjoy working with couples to create bespoke menus.

The grounds at St Tewdrics are kept as immaculately as the Grade II-listed house and offer a number of picturesque and romantic spots for those all-important photographs, including a spectacular fountain, pretty tree swing, the seasonal wildflower meadow, glorious green fields and Ty Haf (our pergola).

Up to 20 guests can be accommodated in nine luxurious en-suite bedrooms, which are served by a beautiful open plan kitchen allowing them to treat the venue as their own home. There are three reception rooms and a spacious hallway, which are perfect for welcoming guests and spending time with loved ones.

“We always listen to the wishes of our couples and we aim to be as flexible and as helpful as we can, to ensure they have a truly special day,” says operations and marketing director Caroline Sims.

“Our beautiful villa is available as an exclusive use wedding venue in which couples can create their perfect wedding days and create lifelong memories.”

St Tewdrics is owned and run by Tour de France-winning cyclist Geraint Thomas OBE and his wife Sara, along with Sara’s parents Eifion and Beth.
