On Saturday, July 4th, the gardens of Treowen, a Grade 1 Listed Jacobean Manor House in Wonastow, just outside Monmouth, will open from 2- 5pm for the National Garden Scheme's (NGS) charities.
Expect herbaceous borders, a formal parterre and a raised walk round the garden giving beautiful views of the restored medieval fishponds and the surrounding countryside.
House tours and homemade teas, both in aid of Wonastow church, will be available at an extra cost. Buy your gardentickets, (£6, children free) on the day, when you can also book a house tour and homemade tea.
