Welsh Truffle Company are growers of summer truffles otherwise known as burgundy Truffles (tuber aestivum / Uncinatum) and Winter Truffles ( Tuber Melanosporum ) otherwise known as Perigord Truffles.
They planted their orchard over the winter of 2008/9. The truffles are top quality the aroma and taste are unique to wales. Currently supply up-market restaurants and eateries all over Wales and the Uk. They were the first to cultivate the summer truffle in Wales and the first to cultivate the winter perigord truffle in the United Kingdom.
Their Orchard is located on the Monmouthshire / Torfaen border at Monskwood, near Usk.
