**Both sides of the Monnow**

**11.00am (Approx. 4 hours)**

A 5.5 mile (9km) walk in the picturesque Monnow Valley. We will follow the English side of the valley, passing the ancient church at Llanrothal to reach Tregate Bridge. We will return by following part of the “Monnow Valley Walk” to enjoy outstanding views over Skenfrith village and the Monnow Valley. 

Lots of stiles and one steep slope. Bring a packed lunch and a drink. Assistance dogs only please. Wear stout shoes or boots and bring waterproof clothing. There is no charge for this activity.

Meet in the large lay-by on the Herefordshire side of bridge over the river Monnow just outside Skenfrith village (SO 458 202). Postcode NP7 8UG.

**Terms and conditions**

Booking is essential. Anyone not on the list will not be able to join the walk. 

**Cancellation.** Please let us know as soon as possible if you have to cancel so that we can offer the places to other walkers. MonLife Countryside Access Team reserve the right to cancel the walk due to adverse weather, illness of leaders or changes to Covid 19 restrictions or any other unforeseen reason. 

Please supply the names, email addresses and telephone numbers of participants so that contact can be made in case of cancellation. 

**Covid 19**: Participants must not attend if suffering from symptoms or under instructions to isolate. Walkers will have to adhere to any Government restrictions that apply at the time of the walk. Do not share food or drink with anyone outside of your household. Please bring your own hand sanitiser to use before eating or at any other appropriate time during the walk. Be sensitive to social distancing, particularly at the start of the walk and during stops along the way, including lunch breaks or snack breaks. In the event of a positive Covid 19 test within 7 days after participating in a walk notify as soon as possible.
