Through talks and exercises, the workshop will cover:

- How to create ideas with dramatic potential
- How to create complex, layered and intriguing characters
- The fundamental elements of drama
- Three act structure
- How to infuse stories with deep meaning and deliver emotional satisfaction.

Participants will receive a host of materials that comprise a complete toolkit for turning ideas into full dramatised stories for print or screen.

Matthew is the author of eight novels in the best-selling and highly acclaimed Jenny Cooper series, starting with The Coroner. The books have twice been shortlisted for the Crime Writers' Association premier award, The Gold Dagger.

Matthew's latest work for the screen is the acclaimed eight part series, Keeping Faith, shown on BBC and S4C. A second series is currently in production.
