Julie Turner Ceramics

About

I have been influenced by traditional Creamware and historical Silverware since graduating in Ceramics from UWE, Bristol. I am obsessive about clean, simple and powerful forms.

Each of my pieces is hand thrown and finished using traditional processes and techniques in my studio in Monmouth. I use the finest porcelain clay to create each unique piece.

I work in my purpose built studio which was constructed of reclaimed and recycled materials and I aim to reduce the environmental impact of my work whenever possible, using rain water and solar heating, and recycling the heat from my kiln to dry work, reclaim clay and prevent my toes from freezing in mid winter .
