Glen Trothy Caravan Park

About

Glen Trothy is set in tranquil secluded countryside in the quiet village of Mitchel Troy , 1½ miles from Monmouth, lying at the portals of two of the most bewitching areas imaginable; the spiralling Wye Valley and the lush Royal Forest of Dean. The countryside is both picturesque and remarkably varied; the whole area steeping in history, castles and abbeys, not forgetting the many varied local attractions. The park it self is peaceful and secluded but easily accessible.

The site consists of 6½ acres with the River Trothy, from which it gets its name, flows beside the longest boundary.

There are 74 pitches for touring caravans all in one field, and 50 pitches for tent campers spread over a further two fields. All the touring pitches have electric hook-ups, also several in the tenting field (10 amps) and water points.

Propane and butane gas and camping gas are available.

The children's play area is centrally situated with swings, climbing frame, play deck and cabin, ladders, a climbing wall and sand pit.

Public kiosk.
Seasonal pitches occasionally available.

Amenities are particularly good, with toilet blocks, excellent hot showers, hand and hairdryers (including sockets for using your own dryers), razor points, laundry facilities, washing up room and chemical disposal point. Facilities are also provided for the disabled.

Caravan awning – length of caravan only and no more than 8 foot wide Tents – maximum 16foot x 16foot. Larger tents would require two pitches. Regret No Dogs allowed.
