Details
A delicious gem of a stone built 19th century cottage sleeping 3 near Usk. It has been completely refurbished to a luxury standard and features a king-sized 5 ft bed. It adjoins two golf courses and is in an elevated position above the banks of the river Usk. We have a suntrap terrace in a fully enclosed garden. We can arrange trout fishing (river Usk) or salmon fishing (river Wye) in season. It is right on the Usk Valley walk which includes stretches of riverbank with excellent wildlife including otters, herons, buzzards and more.
The National Cycle route 42 passes within yards and number 30 is nearby. A wide choice of pubs and award winning restaurants are nearby, including the foodie mecca of Abergavenny. Excellent location for visiting Tintern Abbey, Caerleon Roman remains, descending for coal into Big Pit and enjoying the ancient stone castles of Chepstow, Raglan and Skenfrith, the Brecon Beacons, the book town of Hay on Wye, boating on the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal at Goytre Wharf, walking, eating or simply chilling out.
Steep stairs make the cottage unsuitable for toddlers or those with mobility difficulties unfortunately. Special offer short breaks spring autumn and Advent. Particularly suitable for honeymoons weddings and anniversaries. Ideally located for golfing walking and sightseeing.Excellent eating out options all very local Children welcome from age 3.
