Details

Monmouthshire Women Making Change is Abergavenny Museum’s latest exhibition. It explores the contribution that Monmouthshire women have made to to the suffrage movement, the war effort, farming, the peace movement and the difference they have made to their own lives and that of other in the locality and overseas.

It also looks at the personal stories of just a few of the significant women Monmouthshire has been a home to. The exhibition was put together by a group of volunteers and many items have been loaned by community groups. There are items to look at and handle alongside the exhibition and there will be a learning resource for older pupils and a day school running alongside.
