Reopening of Cadw Sites in Monmouthshire

There's great news ahead as our staffed Cadw sites (Raglan Castle, Chepstow Castle & Tintern Abbey) will all be reopening for Welsh residents on April 6th 2021. To ensure the safe reopening of the sites, an online ticketing system has been put in place (so please ensure to pre-book before visiting) and essential social distancing and hygiene measures have been implemented.

Best of all, admission is free!

Until regulations allow it will only be the outdoors sections open (so none of the towers) but that's still a large amount of castle and abbey to explore!

On top of this, the Cadw unstaffed sites in Monmouthshire (including Grosmont Castle, Skenfrith Castle and White Castle) are open to visit and free to enter. Caerwent Roman Town will be reopening a few weeks into April.
