Byrgwm

About

Byrgwm Products are produced by Mike Bloomfield. He produces a wide range of high quality woodturned items such as boxes with pyrography, Welsh and English named woods, Welsh slate/wood coasters, bowls, clocks, calculators, cheeseboards and also foot stools in a variety of rich tapestry colours. Mike's work is inspired by designs in Welsh Historic buildings and Celtic designs.

Working on his own woodland and using locally sourced hardwoods and businesses, he uses horse drawn bracken brashers and loggers to keep the woodlands accessible and he also cuts, kiln dries and makes his products from his own workshop. Mike works with oak, ash, beech, birch, cherry, elm, walnut and yew.

Mike sells through his website but also Beacons Crafts, Bethal Square, Brecon and at various craft fairs throughout the year.
