Retroactive Festival 2017 - Friday 7th July 2017

Caldicot Castle is the place to get your 80s fix next summer as some of the ultimate retro singing sensations take to the stage for our Retroactive Festival 2017.

The Human League, Tony Hadley, Jason Donovan, Imagination feat Leee John and One Night of Queen will play at the one-day festival next summer.

The line-up will play in the beautiful country park of one of Wales’ most impressive castles in Caldicot, Monmouthshire, on Friday 7 July 2017.

Pitch-up a tent less than a minute’s walk away from the concert. You can camp in the beautiful country park that surrounds our medieval castle for this event.

Security
Your safety is our priority. We are constantly reviewing our security procedures and work very closely with our partners to ensure that we have an appropriate level of security in place.

Visitors will be searched on entry, please allow extra time to pass through security and check the list of prohibited items below. There will be a police presence on site.
Our security and stewarding teams are there for your safety.
Due to the current unprecedented security situation, it's better for everyone if you do not bring a bag at all. If you must bring a bag, it must be small (no bigger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm).

The following items are not to be brought: animals (with the exception of guide dogs), laser pens, your own food and drink, bottles, fireworks, cans, glass containers, any weapon including sharp objects, illegal substances, seating or camping furniture.

Management reserves the right to conduct security searches and confiscate any item which is not permitted and to eject any person refusing to a search.

Parking
Event parking is available on the country park site, which is less than 500m away from the concert area. The car park is accessible via the country park's entrance from the B4245. We advise that you use the postcode NP26 5YR and take further directions from the signage when you arrive. Please do not use the castle's postcode as it will take you to the wrong entrance.

Toilets
Standard and accessible toilet facilities are located throughout the event arena.

Seating
Your own seating and furniture will not be allowed to be brought into the arena.

Weather
The concert will not be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. Please bring clothing appropriate for the expected weather conditions. Please note that gazebos should not be used.

Food and Drink
Your own food, drink and alcohol will not be allowed into the arena. Catering unit and bars are available to purchase refreshments.

Visit Caldicot Castle in its beautiful setting of tranquil gardens and a wooded country park. Founded by the Normans, developed in royal hands as a stronghold in the Middle Ages and restored as a Victorian family home.
