Caldicot Castle & Country Park

Visit Caldicot Castle in its beautiful setting of tranquil gardens and a wooded country park. Founded by the Normans, developed in royal hands as a stronghold in the Middle Ages and restored as a Victorian family home, the castle has a romantic and colourful history. The castle is CLOSED for the Winter.

We're closed for the winter

The castle is now closed for the winter and will reopen on April 1st 2017. Our country park is open 365 days a year!

The Country Park is always open. Between the end of October and April vehicular access and the main car park is closed between 5.30pm and 8.00am (although the Church Road car park remains open).

During our open season, the castle's hours are 11am to 4pm and entry is free.
