Caldicot Castle & Country Park

Visit Caldicot Castle in its beautiful setting of tranquil gardens and a wooded country park. Founded by the Normans, developed in royal hands as a stronghold in the Middle Ages and restored as a Victorian family home, the castle has a romantic and colourful history. The castle is CLOSED for the Winter.

We're closed for the winter

The castle is now closed for the winter and will reopen in February 2017. Please check back for our opening date. Our country park is open 365 days a year!

Our normal opening hours are 11am to 4pm and entry is free.

Opening days and/or hours may vary for special events or as a result of private bookings, please check events listing or ring for details.

The Country Park is always open. Between the end of October and February vehicular access and the main car park is closed between 5.30pm and 8.00am (although the Church Road car park remains open).
